Pre-Thanksgiving Funny
A look at the Monday-before-Thanksgiving e-mail inbox, and what do we
see? Mail from a Sierra Club associate. Hmmm, this is not a
group known for spreading humor and funnies. What a pleasant surprise
to see that there's a lighthearted (well, sorta-kinda) link [1] to a Sierra Club [2]
page with a topical and humorous (er, kinda-sorta) opportunity for
visitors to vote for their choice in this competition: Who's Washington, DC's Biggest Thanksgiving Turkey? [1]
I sent a note back, wondering why there was no write-in space for me to
type in the name of my vote (initials GWB)? It may be a few
years hence, but he still qualifies as the biggest turkey (how polite a
term) for his backing out of the Kyoto Accord. A quick reply
informed me that this matter will be raised with the appropriate
parties, plus a repeated request that I please link to the funny
page. So here's the link [1], well worth checking out for a pre-holiday laugh.
