A Thousand Words (or two)

A Thousand Words (or two)

Very light on the blogging lately. Since the start of the work week after the New Year, been up to my eyes in all sorts of work, projects, new business, opoprtunities, you name it.

Been too tired to compose blog stuff, despite much on my mind to offer in this space. Received a nice note from Tom Shugart, the author of the Insiteview blog. Tom had some comments on what I wrote about people "using up their happy. Seems he wasn't able to make the comments tool work. You know, that pitch at the bottom of each entry in this space, that says "Care to Comment On This? Go Right Ahead!" If you'd like to try it and then e-mail me your results, I'd greatly be deeply appreciative.

Tom wrote (since for some reason the comments utility just didn't work for him, making me wonder if it is correctly set up...hmm, no, that can't be it, as there have been successful coment postings...hmm..what might it be...Tom is not "net challenged," so what might be the problem....hmmm)

Happiness is not a bank account from which we make
withdrawals. It's a moment-by-moment existential creation.
We either take advantage of that, i.e., exercise our responsibility,
or forfeit it and grow ever more despairing--as your Florida
report so vividly conveys
.

Tom said he might link to the post, and was very complimentary regarding it. Well, thanks to Tom, and thanks to anyone who can help to solve the mysterious Comments dilemma.

PICTURE THIS

What's this about a thousand words (or two)? Supposedly a picture is worth a thousand words. And in today's posting, there will be two pictures.

FIRST 1000 WORDS

Mickey, an e-mail nom de plume of my friend Steve, sends along this wonderful graphic. To see it full size, click here, and check out all the small print at the bottom, it is hysterical. And how about Condoleeza, looking like a cross between Rae Dawn Chong and Gloria Ruben!

...Episode II!</p />

NEXT ONE THOUSAND WORDS

This one showed up in my in box at the beginning of December. It is just too good not to pass along. Full size version is found by clicking here.

This very funny graphic showed up in my e-mail inbox one day. Check out the larger sized copy, linked to in the blog!

okay, here you are at the bottom of this blog entry. Look, just below and to the left: a comments opportunity. Don't be shy! Give it a go!
