SUNDAY MORNING TV OBSERVATION

SUNDAY MORNING TV OBSERVATION

This morning, while watching either Meet The Press or Ebert and that other guy, I saw the ad for Zoloft. Yeah, Zoloft, the anti-depressant and panic-attack suppressor. In the ad there is a cartoon-like egg-looking sort of character, the mood of which should impress upon viewers that this is a good mood psychotropic drug for them to take. Or, better put, for them to ask for their doctors to prescribe for them.

How interesting that an anti-despressant/anti-panic pill should use a cute little cartoon figure as its marketing symbol.

The graphic image used by Zoloft looked to me to be very similar to the graphic imagery for BloggerCon II. The lettering and the sunburst are very different, but the little egg-like character seems quite reminiscent of the Zoloft image. Does it look that way to you?

Bryan Bell designed this. Bryan created a good many of the Manila and Radio blog themes and artwork. He does great work. Kudos to Bryan for all his good stuff (including the modified and customized DeanLand design!!).

Can you imagine if one could just blend the two into a hybrid entity?

Blogger Meeting Cures Depression and Wards Off Anxiety and Panic Attacks!

Yes, a new study in Cambridge, to be unveiled at a special Harvard Law/Berkman Center meeting in April, will show that blogging can relieve depression, and eliminate anxiety and panic. Furthermore, this cure can be syndicated, and it is really simple to do so!

Blogging: the cure for the stresses and societal pressures facing connected mankind!

So if one both blogs, and takes Zoloft, they should be among the more serene of us, yes?
