New York Blogger Knosh – 2004

New York Blogger Knosh ñ 2004

Just a little over a year ago there was a meeting of bloggers, a dinner get-together, at the historic, famous, and always-a-hoot, Katzís Deli on the Lower East Side. A good time was had by all. The subsequent links and reviews and networking were of significant magnitude.

It is time to do it again.

Fellow blogger Roxanne Cooper (check out her Rox Populi blog, always a good read!) and I have been writing back and forth, commenting on posts, and discussing her upcoming trip to NYC. As anyone who knows me can easily guess, I not only said, ìHey! Letís get together!î but also added that we should have such a get-together at Katzís. Roxanne agreed, noted that sheíd like to ask a few other bloggers from the area to join, and from this a plan was hatched.

My initial thought was to call it ìBloggerChomp II:NYC/Katzís,î what with it being roughly a year since the last one. But Roxanne beat me to it, posting about it, and her name for it is so close that to argue about it would be splitting hairs. Roxanne gave it the appellation, ìNew York Blogger Knosh ñ 2004î

So there you have it: New York Blogger Knosh ñ 2004 Saturday, May 15th, 5PM at Katzís Delicatessen. New Yorkís Lower East Side: Houston Street at Ludlow, one block west of Essex.

This is both Corned Beef & Pastrami, on Rye. As devoured at Katz's in NYC. There is none better on the planet.

One of the best reviews of Katzís, truly capturing the essence of what makes it so special, can be found at the New York First Company website, on a page they call ìKatzdogs.î Also worth checking out is Katzís recently updated website. I am going to invite Yuri Dashevsky to join us. Yuri designed the new-look Katzís site. He and I have been trying to get together for what seems like forever. Perhaps this meeting at Katzís will do the trick!

I am sending this post out as an e-mail (and a link to Deanland!) to a good many New York bloggers, as well as to some bloggers from in and around the NY Metropolitan Area. Letís see how the turnout will be this year.

Whatever you do, bring your appetite!
