An end to the Quiet

An end to the Quiet

It sure has been quiet in these parts of late. Why? Many reasons, that's why.

First there was Opening Day, the beginning of the Baseball Season, and a lot of attention being paid to Baseball. Sooner or later I will finally post my nearly-completed essay on Opening Day At Yankee Stadium...but not here. That will come to life at the other blog.

Secondly, the folks who make this place possible had some server clean-up and other such maintenance to do. That took a few days out. During that time I did draft a number of posts, all of which are sitting in some state of completion, in my Bloggeria Work In Progress folder.

Thirdly, Pesach (aka: Passover) is upon us. No eating motzah at the keyboard -- the stuff crumbs and crinkles all over the place, and no-one in their right mind wants that unleavened cracker-dust anywhere near their computer.

Fourth: Gee, have I ever been busy.

So stay tuned, a true "Stream of Bloggishness" will soon be posted, any day now, maybe even later this evening, when I complete all the work, the errands, the packing for a short trip to see my two kids and take my daughter back up to NY for a week.

I've received some very nice e-mail from readers of the blog. Thank you, thank you. And yes, just as one e-mailer asked, the answer is YES, I do really reply to e-mail that is not spam. All of it!

More soon. Thanks for your patience, and for looking in on this space.

And, oh, yeah: How about those Yankees!? And the other team here in NY isn't off to too bad a start, either. Do I hear you saying to yourself, "gee, could there be back-to-back Subway Series?"
A beautiful thought, yes.
