Politics. Storms, & Me

Politics. Storms, & Me

Back in 2004, even for a little while in 2003, there was all this news and discussion about a guy named Dean.  He even took over my place as the most Googled Dean,
which I never recaptured.  Then that Dean became head of the DNC,
so he pretty regularly appears on news programs, remains in the
spotlight, and is the more well-known Dean.  Okay, fine.  You
can't fight City Hall, kinda sorta.

Fast forward to the immediate present, and now there is a hurricane named Dean.  It is barreling into Jamaica, W.I. as I type this, and is the big story on most news outlets. But not the online version of today's NY Times, which only has a link to a Reuters article on Gulf Oil Companies Preparing for Deadly Hurricane.
That Dean will wreak havoc on Jamaica.  This Dean has been there a
number of times on vacation.  That Dean will get much more
coverage than this Dean.  So be it.

What's really got my goat (notice subtle Jamaica reference, har har)
is that this Dean is now realizing something: these two Deans that
capture the news, the search engine results and bring attention to my name . . . are a couple of blowhards.

Well, harumph.
