Yes, Dean actually will have something nice to say about Dubyuh on this day.
I write this on the eve of Valentines Day and the opening day of Baseball 2001 Spring Training. That said, you can imagine that I am in a good mood.
I love Valentines Day! A day of romance, celebrating love, relationships, caring...what could be nicer?!?! As the song so aptly said, "Love Is A Beautiful Thing!"
And a big sigh of relief: Spring Training is about to start, In fact, the Cincinnatti Reds opened camp Tuesday! With Spring Training comes hope, renewal, spirit, joy. Just like much of what we celebrate on Valentines Day!!
And so, on this wonderful day of glee and joyfulness, I can actually offer some kind words about that dork in the White House, George Dubububyuh Bush, aka, Bush the Younger, or the guy who takes his orders from Dick Cheney.
W found it in himself to rise to the occasion and deftly handle reporters' questions about the Clinton pardons. The Tuesday afternoon New York Daily News Express carried a good report on it. Click on it. Read it. The Daily News On Line is one excellent paper. Much better, IMHO, than the stodgy and unclued online NY Times.
W deserves, and so I give him, some praise on this one.
Clinton, whom I regard as having been a wonderful President and a brilliant man, also seems to be an unrepentant putz. A shnorrer. He and Hillary grab, er, take all sorts of booty out of the White House. Now this is not at all unlike most of his predecessors, but the piggish, garish manner was really beneath him, beneath the office.
You can take the trailer park out of the trash, but you can't take...well, you get the picture.
