A BLOGGER'S CROSS WORD

A BLOGGER'S CROSS WORD

I've been known to have a cross word
or two for various people who do things that annoy me. So be it,
I am not such a Zen sort of feller that I can just smile, relax in my
inner peacefulness, and wish those who annoy me a wonderful and
blissful existence. Then again, I am generally not very
vindictive or filled with ill will.

BARISTAVILLE BASH

BARISTAVILLE BASH

The good folk who are responsible for Baristanet.com
threw a bash tonight. It was at a lovely bistro sort of place,
The Church Street Cafe in Montclair, NJ. Before reading any
further, you should visit Baristanet and check out the neat site.

Peripatetic Blogging

MY PERIPATETIC BLOGGING

Peripatetic.
A favorite word of mine. I used it in a Biology paper in the 10thGrade
(as memory serves, I think I was describing the fertilization process ,
viz-a-viz zygotes) and the teacher asked me what the word meant.
And she was the one with
the college education and the advanced degree!

Like Riding a Bike

Been away for awhile.
Had some thinking to do, needed some time off from the blog that
sometimes serves as a soapbox, a forum of personal opinion, a recounting of the
day, even a journal.

FAREWELL, LARRY B. BACH

Farewell, Larry B. Bach

Larry was showing off his cool Fedora. It came from Alaska, a gift from
his Significant Other's son and daughter in law. Susan was duly
impressed by the hat.

Many years ago it was Larry who arrranged that Susan and I would meet.
He was a very dear and special friend to us, and we will miss him.

EMOTIONAL ROLLERCOASTER

EMOTIONAL ROLLERCOASTER

You may have noticed the quiet in these parts of late. Chalk it
up to a number of things. Among the things, mostly good things:
Projects heating up, lots of prep and development work. Meetings
and interaction with a number of groups, meet-ups, meetings relating to
ongoing projects or ongoing "day job" activity.

And then some other matters, too. Some not-so-good-things. More on that in a moment.
